San Antonio Soccer Referee Association (SASRA) is an association for soccer referees in the San Antonio area that work at any level of soccer matches including youth, collegiate, adult and High School. Other than to have fun, SASRA wants to serve the soccer community by being a source of information, by being active in the development of referee skills, and by developing communication with the soccer leagues in the area. The goal is to have a positive impact and to improve the end result of the youth and adult soccer playing that we all enjoy.

SASRA’s diverse members range from the seasoned referees to the weekend warriors to the referees with professional game experience. Our meetings are informative, instructional, and fun. Anyone is welcome to come. During the High School season, SASRA and TASO-SSA (UIL Referee Organization) hold joint meetings.

Check the Events page for upcoming events.

12/31/2009 - Last chance to attend a Referee Clinic for 2009/2010 Season
There are six clinics scheduled in January in the San Antonio area. This is your last chance to get (re)certified for 2010. You can view the list of scheduled clinics on the South Texas Soccer Referees (STSR) Available Clinics web page. Select "02-San Antonio Area" from the Clinic Area dropdown to find local area clinics. You must pre-register online. All of the clinic details and online registration are at the STSR Clinics page.

09/22/2009 - STYSA Games and 2010 USSF ID Cards
Per South Texas Youth Soccer Association policy, all adults on the team side of a field must visibly wear their current Adult Participation (kidsafe) passes. The referee has authority to check for these passes, and to require any adult not possessing a pass to move from the team side.
Effective with the receipt of the 2010 US Soccer Registration card, all adult referees are required to have this card in their possession when performing referee duties at a STYSA sanctioned event. This includes when arriving at the fields, and during any breaks between games. While referees are not required to visibly display their card, they should have it readily available if requested. Referees are encouraged to make a copy of their card and laminate it when they first receive it, to reduce the possible loss or damage to the card. The 2010 US Soccer Registration card with Texas South specified on the card will qualify for Adult Participation (kidsafe) verification. In addition, any individual on the STSR approved list (viewable at www.stsr.org) is considered to have met the Adult Participation Pass requirement.
